Cerebral Palsy Spastic Quadriplegic

Spastic cerebral palsy is the most common form of cerebral palsy. Quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy is the most severe form of cerebral palsy, where all four limbs are affected due to brain damage. Symptoms are generally seen before the child reaches two years of age, and include a combination of stiffness or tremors in the limbs, intellectual disability, challenges speaking and being understood, and inability to hold up one's neck. Brain damage responsible for quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy can be caused by lack of oxygen to the brain, bleeding in the brain, damage to white brain matter, and abnormal brain development.
