Craniofacial Conditions

Common Name(s)

Craniofacial Conditions

A craniofacial condition is any abnormality of the face and/or head caused by birth defect, disease or trauma. Many craniofacial conditions are the result of abnormal growth patterns of the bones and soft tissue of the face and skull. Treating a craniofacial abnormality is condition specific, but many common conditions, such as cleft lip and palate, can often be treated with surgery.
